What is RSO?

Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) is decarboxylated cannabis oil that is intended for sublingual delivery but can also be taken as an edible. It is our most highly concentrated cannabis product and is made of only pure cannabis oil - no sugar or any other ingredients at all.

While RSO can be dispensed directly from the syringe, it is very difficult to accurately measure a dose this way. You should only take it that way if you are very experienced with taking high-dose edibles. We recommend compounding (i.e., diluting) RSO with a fixed oil of your choice.

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Empty tincture bottle
  • Saucepan for hot water bath
  • “Fixed oil” of your choice (e.g., MCT/coconut, olive, avocado)
  • RSO (cannabis oil)

Steps to compounding RSO

  1. Empty entire RSO syringe into tincture bottle
  2. Using the now-empty RSO syringe, place it in the fixed oil and draw up to fill completely to the 1 ml mark. Empty the syringe into the tincture bottle. You have now diluted your RSO 1:1. (fill to .5 ml mark for .5 ml syringe) Repeat until you have reached your desired dilution ratio.
  3. Prepare the hot water bath (bring water to boil then take off of heat)
  4. Place the cap on the tincture bottle and place in hot water bath (do NOT completely submerge; leave the top out of the water.) Wait 15 minutes.
  5. Shake thoroughly but carefully (bottle may be slippery) until both oils are combined. If it seems like the oils are still too thick to combine, repeat water bath/shaking to mix.

Example Dilutions

Hybrid THC RSO - .5 ml (500mg) Spectra RSO 1:1 - 1 ml (1,000mg)
0 mg CBD 415 mg CBD
407 mg THC 393 mg THC
As a 10:1 Dilution:
37 mg THC per 1 ml 37 mg CBD, 35 mg THC per ml
1.85 mg THC per drop 1.85 mg CBD, 1.75 mg THC per drop

IMPORTANT: You MUST shake the bottle every time for correct dosing.

1 dropperful = approximately 1ml = approximately 20 drops
