Illinois has set legal limits on the amount of cannabis that Illinois residents and out-of-state recreational customers can purchase on a visit to a dispensary:
ILLINOIS RESIDENTS (with a valid 21+ Illinois ID)
Flower: 60g
Concentrate: 10g
Edibles: 1000mg
OUT OF STATE
Flower: 30g
Concentrate: 5g
Edibles: 500mg
Medical Cannabis Purchase Limits
Medical cannabis patients can purchase up to 2.5 ounces (70.87 grams) of cannabis every 14 days.
Medical patients also save up to 40% on taxes. Most Illinois residents qualify for a medical card, and you should be able to get your medical cannabis card within 24 hours of applying.

You can apply for a waiver to increase your allotment to 5 ounces every 14 days.
A certifying healthcare professional will need to create a waiver in the State’s online portal to recommend the increase. Once the waiver is created, you will receive an email from the State notifying you that your allotment has been increased.
