When it comes to CBD, the CBD:THC ratio is crucial to the cannabis experience as there are many ways to dose.
When it comes to edibles, terpene driven “indica” and “sativa” labels could possibly not be as effective as finding the right CBD to THC ratio for your needs. In fact, terpenes are less effective with edibles, which is why ratios of CBD are added to the mix.
With flower, we must consider the balance of terpenes, THC percentage, and potential CBD, as they all greatly affect the experience.
How To Dose CBD and THC with Edibles
First, ask yourself what you’re attempting to achieve from your experience. Second, think about how often and how you consume cannabis. From there, we can suggest the most accurate product for your needs. Our budtenders are excited to assist you on your cannabis journey while you shop!
CBD:THC
The tried and true, 1:1 CBD:THC ratio. These are the most commonly low-dosed ratioed edibles available on the market. The 1:1 is an excellent starting point to experience the balance of CBD and THC. Depending on how often you consume cannabis, your budtender will be able to gauge a starting point between low, moderate, or high dose.
Remember, to each their own. Try not to compare your experience with anyone else’s, as we all process these products in our own unique ways.
What are some other products and ratios?
The Wana Blood Orange 20:1 Gummies might sound like you’re getting more THC, but these are in fact, the lowest THC dose we have on the menu. The 20:1 ratio is equated to 20mg of CBD and 1mg of THC in each gummy. The entire package has a total of 10mg THC and 200mg CBD.
The same idea goes for the 10:1 Wana Strawberry Gummies: 10mg of CBD and 1mg of THC in each gummy. 2:1 can be 20mg of CBD and 10mg of THC.
Breaking Down CBD with THC
When CBD is taken with THC, CBD makes it harder for THC to bind to the receptors in the body, therefore, the psychotropic effects (mental state or “head high”) of THC are dampened.
Scientifically speaking, THC binds to the primary site. This activates the receptor and “high” feelings are experienced. When CBD enters the body alongside THC, it binds to the non-primary site, which prevents the THC from fully binding to its primary site.
Because of this, increasing CBD will reduce the onset effects of THC, while increasing the medicated effects of CBD. Don’t be fooled by the numbers.

Folks seeking a more potent physically relaxing euphoria or “head high” that THC often offers
